I visited this farm not too long ago- it was a nice little find, but it was deciding between visiting this farm and a house in another location. In the end, my aunt and I decided that the farm was closer, so we would be able to get there and home again before it got dark.
Quick history:
I cannot find any ACTUAL history on this, although I do know there was a fire here. It is believed to have been abandoned three or four years before the fire, due to a financial crisis. The house, in May 2010, was worth £770,000. The fire was in January 2015, and it is believed to have been started by gas canisters, as there are two in what would have been the back garden.
This was an interesting find for us, as the property is actually quite big once you're in. The entrance doesn't seem obvious, but when you start thinking about it and start experimenting, it's really quite easy to get in. Unfortunately, we couldn't get into the actual house, but we could get into the barn!
The house has all of it's windows and doors covered with metal sheets, but the barn is completely open. You have to get into the back garden of the house to then be able to get into the barn area, but again, when you start thinking and start experimenting, it's really easy to get through to the barn. The barn is huge, and a few doors are shut, but most are open. There are some interesting things left behind too.
