Good morning,

I shall keep this short and sweet, the location was very hard to get too due to new security posts so this involved walking through a lot of woods but we finally arrived on the grounds and my god, is it an impressive building! There were signs saying police dog training 24hrs but this was mans best friend we were talking about, what could possibly go wrong.

The history on this place basically is that Leverton Hall Secure Unit was a 16 bed welfare secure unit catering for both male and female occupants. There were 3 units within the home, 1 of which was allocated just for females. There was also an 8 bed Children’s Home attached to the secure unit which was utilized as a ‘step down’ facility. The benefits of such were that they were able to offer continuity of care.

Leverton Hall, once housed notorious child killer Jon Venables who was responsible for the evil murder of 2 year old James Bulgar in 1993.

Here is how it looked.

Everything was sealed tight this side so we started to walk back round the other way, knowing a great explore the other side of that glass was keeping us going!

The gates looked like a tempting climbing wall but we chose too keep scaling.

We couldn't find a way in then the inevitable happened, just like the red stop light that greeted us we were stopped in our tracks.

2 large secca shouted stop where you are, to be honest we did stand there for a second and I muttered a mix of obscenity's and disappointment. We noticed the flashlights aiming towards us were quite far so we shouted we are just taking pictures, we will leave. They shouted shut-up and stay there, I actually thought that was quite rude so Stride just said run, we did and thankfully got away.

We were sitting in the car disappointed the whole way back, this was the first time we hadn't got in somewhere since taking this seriously. It wasn't a nice feeling after the 50 min drive there, maybe we aimed too high, too early or maybe it was just rotten luck. Part of me feels that we just didn't know where the best entry point was, other threads point to some light climbing which we did not try.

Anyway that will not deter us and we have unfinished business here, in the mean time we will visit a couple of places tonight.

Cheers for looking.

Excellent work squire and I agree there is really no need to be rude.
The one and only time I've been caught by secca he was rather pleasant I thought although Fragglehunter said he was a c**t which is also quite rude.
I'll be looking forward to and update on this one.
Well done chaps.;)

Nice one! It is better to not get in than have to break something to get in.
A lot of exploration is driving miles to see a fence, we just don't tend to share those storeys as much!
It took me 5 trips to get into Lille prison, yes Lille.
Thanks for sharing :)

Haha I love that, we are expanding abroad soon! To be fair when you don't get in, it only makes the forbidden fruit more tasty.

I have bin nabbed by Secca loads of times, mostly because I didn't run, if I could evade or hide from em I would, but I never had anything that could be construed as going equipped , Secca are often surly on approach because they don't know what they are getting into, buggered if I'd do it for basic minimum wage.

To be fair, if they see 3 guys then fair enough I get what there doing and I have talked my way out of things before, unfortunately when someone gives it all the rudeness and looks like running is seriously damaging his health, I unfortunately just don't have time for people like that and its just best for everyone to get away and avoid confrontation.

I'm too lazy and unfit to run away unless I absolutely on pain of imminent death or serious injury have to. Getting caught is part of the game we play, it happens from time to time. Same with failing places or finding them sealed up, I've lost count of the amount of times I've gone a long way to find something inaccessible.
