Default Harrier Jump Jets - Surrey - November 2016

I wasn't sure if to upload these pictures as its not exactly a 'report', but why the hell not.

Goofing round on google maps the other day, I notice the very distinctive shape of two jet planes in what looked like someones front garden. Its only 10 minutes away, why not?

I managed to get speaking to a local that said the guy that owns them lives round the corner and also has more planes somewhere down the road.

The site is owned by Aerospace Logistics, a company that supplies ex-MOD surplus parts. Seems like the engine has been removed as well as other components.

The Harrier Jump Jet was used by the MOD up till 2010. The remaining stock of them were sold to the US Marines in 2011.

Nicely done. All you need is a couple of engines and you've got a nice runabout for the weekend.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
