Uplands hotel (or Uplands mansion) was built in the 1800's! It became abandoned in the 1900's due to the owner apparently burning the hotel down. There used to be to mansions Uplands & Whitefields but Whitefields was demolished.

Ive always wanted to visit a creepy haunted house in the woods! This is just like that. Theres an old concrete road about 150 meters long walking you through the woods with bunkers and rotting shacks along it. It would be like a horror movie to go at night!

The Explore!

It was a great location but in some places hard to get photos. Easyer to access in the winter. We made an amazing discovery that i don't think anyone has found yet. We found a whole underground tunnel system under the 2 building on site. We couldn't go in due to it being unsafe. Next time we will have to bring hard headwear helmets so we can explore!

The walk in!

Also I'd just thought to put this pic up because i found this by accident! As we were walking to the site we passed another site. Its basically a ghost village. theres about 2-3 buildings all with 2 houses. Thats about 4-6 houses.

Hope you all enjoyed ;)

I too found the ice house, am I correct in assuming it dosent "go" anywhere?

All depends on how old you are. In 1950 it went to the North Pole - so my two uncles used to tell me and my younger brother. Bit of an old family haunt on the 'Sunday out in the car' days back then. Not quite so derelict back then!

This is a really relaxed explore :) I love the grounds it's set in.. I visited in the Spring and saw loads of wildlife about! I really enjoyed your take on it ExplorerX, great pictures as usual.
