This weekend, I stopped off here.

I didn't expect to see this at any point, last February, it had a sold sign & a van parked outside. The other day, I noticed the sold sign was still here, and the main road was very quiet. So I stopped off and had a look.

Stoke Ferry station was built & opened on 1st August 1882. There were 4 trains stopping off per day, during the weekdays only. The station closed to passengers on 22nd September 1930. It continued for freight until 1981. The whole line then got closed. The station buildings were renovated, and lived on for a while longer, until closing down roughly 10 years ago. Today, it remains disused, boarded up and vandalized. Hopefully it can be saved.

It isn't the most interesting place to explore inside, it's good for externals.

Station building.

Although the second is completely boarded up, it's still accessible. Because it appeared to be completely empty, I didn't bother looking further.

Thanks for looking.

Nicely done, superb shots well, except the shot with lens flare, I did mention to you in another post to get a brolly this would shield your lens and able to take photographs in the sun. Still that's only one but for the rest are very good, I think one of the buildings could be a goods shed.
