Thought some people might be interested to see how Crookham Court is doing - photos taken today (I was passing by, so it was easy to have a quick peek). By the look of it renovations are progressing nicely.

Unfortunately I couldn't get in to the site to see through the windows, or even ask to see inside as a) there's a sturdy fence all the way round, plus even if I could have got in I wouldn't have wanted to have been caught in there on my own and b) being a Sunday there was nobody to ask, although I thought I heard activity on the site when I first arrived.

As you can see an new entrance has been created.

Photos from the front of the house....

Looking towards where the swimming pool used to be (house out of sight on the right).

All in all it was nice to see the 'old girl' getting some positive attention.

It's looking good! Hopefully it's put to good use and it's terrible past is left behind.

Thats great news to see the place has actually survived and not the usual property developers excuse of it being too uneconomical to redevelop hence its demolished, even Listed buildings get this kind of unjustified treatment.

I love updates and hearing that a building has a new future...thanks for that!

I'd like to have a look inside once they've finished: see what they've done to it.

I've finally got round to updating this... you can see what Crookham looks like now.

It's been renamed 'Pinchington Hall' and has apartments to let.

In 2020, with opposition from some neighbouring properties, West Berkshire Council granted a license for weddings, parties, music events and outdoor film screenings.

HERE are some other photos from when it was first up for sale - you can still recognise many of the rooms.
