I have copied these photos back from " Geograph "so the resolution is not so high.
The dam project was abandoned in the 1920's with the feeder tunnels, dam footings and central tower completed. During the war the site was used for weapons training. As a small boy I found a live mortar round there. There were local tales of children killed by unexploded ordnance. Today the area is safe and is a butterfly and nature reserve.

Dam footings.
Tunnel to tower.
Entrance to tower tunnel.
Water outlet which would have been in the reservoir.
Distant view of the tower.
Spiders nests in the tunnel.
