Visited this last year with man gone wrong.Burton courthouse was built in 1862 solely as a court house.featuing one courtroom it closed its doors for the final time in 2013 when the council deemed it too expensive too maintain.externally the building is beautiful.its been heavily modernised inside, but it was nice to see the court room and the original stairs, because of it proximity an early start was needed by me and man gone wrong.so we just got in and wandered around in the dark waiting for sunrise.

I agree with the comments about the stairs, the metalwork is outstanding, our good fortune that there was a good photographer to show it off, Loved it, Thanks
