Seen this pop up a couple of times from friends so decided to give it a look whilst in Scotland.done a solo visit on the way home.the building was originally a high school for the city,it closed in 1968 when the school moved to bigger and newer premises.after the move they built a debating chamber for the Scottish parliament.this was before the failed 1979 devolution referendum.this failed to provide a sufficient backing for a devolved assembly.it was later used by the Scottish grand committee.the council bought the building from the Scottish office in 1994.it was proposed that it was used again as a debating chamber for parliament in 1997,but issues were raised over the accessibility and lack of parking and office space.plus it was vunerable to a terrorist attack.future proposals for the building are to turn it into a hotel.this was a fun explore what took a bit of cheek.

I'm surprised you got away with that one, took a bit of nerve too even attempt it, some poor sods due a bollocking, I enjoyed it Mikey, Thanks

Thank you smiler.it was not too bad too be honest.done worse

Proper job that. Looks pristine! Love that last shot with the big pillars out front.

Yeah great work Mikey. That proper cracked me up when you messaged me about it, fair play to you man! Definitely need to give this one another go, sober this time hahaha!

A good set from the ones I've seen. From an urban exploring perspective this one surprised me, given its location and status as both an architectural icon and a major city landmark. The council could be accused of being perhaps a tad oblivious.

Yes, nice one. The building's been stuck in Planning Permission Hell for the past few years, might be a while before it's converted into something more useful.

Thank you all.it is a crying shame that a building this grand is laying there like this.but I guess like most councils the funds ain't there.they need them elsewhere.
