This is quite literally a shed that if falling down on the Northants / Huntingdon border... that's about it really!

I have drove past this lots & finally popped in for a look & as is quite often the case was pleasantly surprised. There was a nice mix of agricultural goodies inside.

The shed itself screams military to me but have no idea of the history & its not really near any airfields or anything! Inside there is one large room at one end & smaller rooms / corridor's & what appears to be toilet room.

Anyway hope this is justifiable as a report.

Nicely done. The contents look like redundant farm machinery. The building looks like RAF looking at the windows but I have been wrong in the past. A nice find.

That's what I thought too. It also is devided into 3 smaller rooms that look loke offices & a toilet / wash room where a sink & toilet are evident.

love that, it does scream military for me. without knowing the location i couldn't tell you where its from. perhaps it's from one of the decoy sites in the area?

It is a standard MOD, 1930's, airfield building - if it is the place I am thinking about, it is sitting on the grass airfield and it was a training strip for aircraft that flew in from other fields.

Looks like an usual find. The lamp in there looks like one you'd find on the back of a freight train. Nice photos.

Sadly it's a standard paraffin warning lantern. Commonly used on road works and construction sites, they were also used to mark the rear of farm trailers that were pulled by TVO fuelled tractors. These were hand cranked to start them and had no electrics fitted - thus no electric lights. The railway rear and front lanterns (for all types of stock) are substantial beasts, bigger and with much more comfortable carrying handles. I've lugged enough of them around over the years!

Land Girls camp? I worked in an old school that was previously a Land Girls camps and the building looked identical. It would probably have had a boiler house and drying room at 1 end and a basic kitchen - often just a sink and stove, not even a range!

Possibly, I have no knowledge of these tbh but will do a bit of research when I have a sec.
