Botcheston School for difficult boys leicestershire - March 08

have very little to do today i thought id pay a visit.
the place is locked up tight and surrounded by old peoples homes.
Botcheston was home to Desford Boys School, an Industrial School for difficult boys but that has been closed since 1978.

thats all the pictures i took no inside shots.

although is says it closed in 1978 i seen dates in the 80,s.
i would NOT recomend going at night. the place is patroled 24hrs.
the main reason being old people still use the back part of the building.

as we where looking at the tower we saw an old man sitting watching telly (or waiting for god)
most of the right hand side of the site in being used (tower side)

Nice one. Shame you can't get get in and there are so many old people around with nothing better to do lol. The ones in the car that pestered me and Mr Sam when we tried to take a look were annoying, moaning about stupid things! lol

badly wanted to get in just to get to the tower
there is a big room next to it full of old people!
i wouldnt want to get caught in there what with the old people in the same building!

Great-looking building. Love that main door. Those dates...amazing!

We had an issue of the Leicestershire Chronicle that had a few pages about this place, can't find it now though!

Ooooooooh I like this. What a lovely building and love the tower too. And was great to see all those names and dates from donkey's years ago.

Nice one, I grew up down the road from one of these places in Cheshire, if I was ever naughty as a kid my folks would threaten to take me there, lol. It's been demolished now though or turned into a retirement vilage or summat..
