I used to live near this place as a child and always looked at it as a great place to live. Recently however its not had a good time. Local vandals and toerags have often used the whole area as a place to get drunk and carry on out of the watchful eye of the nearby estate. This often resulted in stand offs between youths and the Lock Keeper, inevitably causing the vandalism reprocussions that followed those arguments.

Earlier this year the cottage was put up for sale in a vandalised state, and could've been yours for £200,000. But having grown up on the estate nearby and knowing how much rougher it has become it would be ludicrous for anyone to shell out that much.
Anyway, the vandalism and drug use continued until it was set on fire and is now in the state it is in, abandoned, derelict and badly fire damaged.

Didn't take many as the fire damage inside is pretty bad, and i was on my own. Didn't fancy going through the floor into the cellar.

Lovely dragonfly! You could put that in a wildlife photography competition.

Shame about the cottage. They should be strung up - it's the only langauge they understand.

I may do that. I tried getting a better shot of it from the side but it buggered off before i had chance to include the wings in the shot.
