On our way to the pill boxes we stopped at the old stables in Kirkleatham for a look round, fascinating building, a shame it is stood falling apart, it is a grade II listed building, along with the wall on the way in, the gate posts and the barn. It was built in the early 18th century, the gatehouse is dated to about 1780. The gate piers on at the entrance are grade I listed and have lions on top of them, although i didnt get any pictures of them, i will get some and add them to this
