Huge thanks to the|td4 for tippng us off about this. Me and Sausage had a potter around the moors and checked out this cellar. Its the only remains of an 18th century mansion which was demolished a long time ago. Sausage stood guard at the entrance while I took a few shots.

Because of the location its totally un-vandalised, no graffiti, no beer cans, only lots of very old broken glass from way back.
Pictures are very rough, I was in a hurry!

Thanks for looking:)

Great find and unusual,it looks in very good condition and very well constructed, you just never know what is beneath your feet:)

Ooo very nice pics mate. :)

They came out well considering the rush you had. ;)

Some fabulous stonework there. The floors are second to none in my opinion - it is darkest deepest Northumberland here and those nasty Border Reivers would have a field day in there.

Cracking shots mate :)

In the first image, are those two hinges ? ............. the only remains of what must have been a very wide door judging by the size of them.

Thanks man, yes they are old handmade hinges. It was quite a wide doorway.

Nice find there, excellent condition.
I like the wine/food cellar, did the shelves have any labels on?
One I went in, had slate numbers for the shelves etc...

No labels at all mate. But I know what you mean, I saw some like that in the cellar of Ravensworth Castle in Gateshead.
