Decaying loco's Bescot Yard

Hi all ! Thought you might be interested in seeing some ex BR loco's waiting to meet their fate !! Thanks to privatisation and lack of intrest in railways hundreds of perfectly good locos are being broken up !

Engine pressures and temperatures panel on withdrawn class 47-all now read zero !!

Master controller on shunting loco.

The (former) seat of power on a class 37.

Cab instrument panel on same loco.

Speedo and ammeter on class 08.

Heavilly robbed control desk on another class 08.

The once proud emblem of the ENGLISH ELECTRIC company.

Sweet pics. I've always wondered how well they could see looking out of the cab. Was there a height requirement for drivers?

Fantastic mate! Diesel loco's are ace, I wish someone would dump some of them up in Northumberland! That engine sure is a beast.

I once had a ride in the cab of a class 37 while working nights tracklaying, the ballast train driver must have taken pity on me,it must have been about 4/5 degrees below, I was walking down the track to the job and the driver asked me if I wanted a lift, have to say it was well warm in there,I didnt want to get down
