All right, i know this one is quite known inside our European community but it's always so beautiful.

But what and where is it?

They are Chain lockers in a German Coal Mine, You put your clothes on the hooks and small items in the basket then haul them up out of reach of others, It uses the hot air rising from below to help dry damp gear in a way that you dont get with a conventional locker. British mines mostly used a different system of heated lockers.

Funny thing is, until I saw Reaperman's informative post, I guessed that these cages were for Canaries!!! :lol::eek::lol:
