The Borscht Belt is a colloquial term for the mostly defunct summer resorts of the Catskill Mountains.
Since a long time it was the favourit holiday destination for the jewish people from the cities,
but since the 1980's many hotels and resorts a left abandoned because many people have their holiday elsewhere.

This is the second and last hotel we explored here.
A lot of 1970's details inside, but closed somewhere in the 90's.
Even then it was a bit of a sleazy hotel i guess.. no wonder they closed it down :)
