Power Station #24

This industrial cathedral was build in 1917 to serve Philadelphia and surroundings of electricity.
At its best times it had 4 oil-units wich were good for 77 MW.

One building is already demolished.
If the other one is going to disappear is not for sure as far as i know.

Fantastic pictures. I have been to Delaware loads of times, I spent two summers in Dewey Beach in the early nineties and have been back loads of times since.

I usually fly into Philadelphia and drive down to Delaware. I hope to be going back in the summer.Do you have a flash earth link of this place?

Thanks Bart, your pictures are amazing, and such a great building too, pity tho, from what you said, sounds like its gonna meet its maker
