It has got huge cellars, which were 2 or 3 floors. A big plague started in XVIII century in Vilnius. All people, who died in the streets, were just stowed into this monastery‘s charnel-house. In the year 1863 the vaults were bricked over by the order of the czar, because he thought that Lithuanian rebels are using those cellars. There are some legends, that czar‘s guardsman saw a ghost – white dressed monastic. From those times no]ry and feared to come near to it. About 100 years later Dominicans located in this monastery again, but in the year 1993 they had to leave it.
