Vulture gold mine opened in the 1880s and was closed in 1942 by the US government.
The workers and their families lived on site in a small town with 2 school houses. It is located on a desert road about 60 miles North West of Phoenix Arizona. This is my first post so any constructive comments will hopefully make my second post about the mine itself better!

All mod cons!

The insides are a jumble of random items and a piano with something nesting in it!

Not sure what this was doing on the remains of the playing field but I supose that it came from the mine and lost it's way!

Thanks for looking and I hope that somebody finds it interesting

nice work I really want to sort a trip to the states out to find some of these "ghost town" style sites they look fantastic to explore and indeed photograph

Fascinating, and excellent pictures.
I reckon the States must be the urbexer's paradise, all those ghost towns and abandoned stuff like you've given us here.

I will try to post the report on the mine this weekend it may have to be spilt up as there are over 70 photos of buildings, machinery and old cars to fit in !
Managed to get it down to 2 parts! :)
