Okay. All you seasoned urbexers will need to bare with me as this is my first post with content. My photography skills are way out of kilter compared to all you David Baileys and my last excuse is that I lost my damn camera on the last day of the holiday complete with memory card!!! So only a few shots I'm afraid saved from a compact I took on the first visit to the area. I went back a second time and went in further but as I say, those shots are long gone

So, 2009, visited a new resort for us and I'm sitting on the balcony looking out across the bay and I see this resort with a small beach with no one on it. That night, looked over again, no lights! So next day, kayaked across and yes, it's completely deserted. I ventured in further and pools emptied, most rooms accessable, hotel shop locked with pool furniture in there, couple of cars with covers on in the car park.

All exiting stuff for a newbie. Looking forward to getting more involved soon.

Heres the approach, beach overgrown, boat half submerged etc.

Bridge to beach was damaged.

In what looked like the main dining area and beach bar. my daughter decided to start playing this as my back was turned. A bit uspooky in an empty dining room.

Snorkelling was fantastic as it had not been disturbed for a few years.

Sorry it's a bit lame but hopefully I'll contribute more in the future :) I now have a new camera and any tips on urbexing would be greatly recieved ;)

'fraid not. I went back and ventured further into the resort with my (now lost) camera and had shots of the rooms, pool, reception and front outside. I also walked around the headlland one afternnon and found the front of the hotel and it was fully accessable.

It's a guesss but i think it closed late 07 or early 08. There was a plaque in reception stating Wedding Resort of the year 2007. Rooms still had resort folders giving menus, activities etc.

it would make a fantastic "exclusive" resort with a few quid thrown at it.
