This place is about a 5 minute drive from me. I didn't trust myself to go in as the land is now used by someone who breeds Alsatians and he is not particulary pleased to see people wandering around

Opened in 1930 but closed in just 1953, it has been crumbling ever since. Once employed 440 people and produced more than 50,000 tons of coal
