History

This was until 2012 an old people's home. It has been empty ever since, as various property firms try to sell the 7,200 square metre site, but to no avail.

The villa was built in 1912 and first used as a hotel. The firm that owned the old people's home were over 200,000€ in debt so by 2012 the last 20 residents had to be rehoused.

Found this place by accident whilst driving past it one day. I used to live in the area and often wondered why such a large complex was eerily quiet. Upon my entrance to the building, the electrcity was still on.

Nice condition. Looks similar to hotel rooms.

As it was originally built as hotel accommodation, I don't suppose the original owners of the care home did very much in the way of alterations. Sod the old buggers, all they need is a roof over their heads! All the owners of these places were interested in, were the Grants paid to each resident. When the rules changed - the easy gained profits disappeared! Very sadly not a unique situation, some horror stories here in UK, but what it's like in the EU - God only knows!
