1. The History
The village of Ting Kau can be found in the west Tsuen Wan District, New Territories. Ting Kau Village is near the shore and its small beach was once popular with HK bathers. Unfortunately the water quality was affected by the treated water injected into Victoria Harbour and it lost popularity. Ting Kau is perhaps most famous for Ting Kau Bridge, spanning the Rambler Channel, from Ting Kau to Tsing Yi Island. In 2003 it was in the news for the wrong reasons when a double-decker bus plunged into the Village leaving 21 passengers dead and 20 injured.
2. The Explore
Report no.3 and another HK re-visit. We were staying just above the village in the Royal View Hotel so just popped down to see how the place was getting on. Last time I reported on three abandoned houses that were all sealed and did a separate report for “Bowling Ball villa” (see the report HERE).
Not much has changed. The three houses that were locked up are still locked up while Bowling Ball villa was still a walk-in. Didn’t bother given my extensive photographing of this lace last time. Like last time, my camera again completely misted-up so I took pictures on my phone. Strange that in a place where property prices and land are so expensive that these four prime spots gradually rot away.
3. The Pictures
First up is Bowling Ball villa. Just a few externals this time:

Next up, the large house by the beach. Locked up and abandoned a long time ago by the looks of it:

Finally – the small house on the beach front. This place is going down hill fast. Since the last shufty the ceiling has come down:
