    Default Hospital in Pripyat

    Pripyat Hospital

This was perhaps the highlight of the trip for me but we only got chance for a small part of it. we were perhaps 3 hours in this one building and there are many more but light was fading and Cheap vodka was calling

There was so much stuff in here left to see I was like a kid in a sweet shop
(candy store for our american members)

In the basement lie the remains of the firemans uniforms and when you put your dosimeter on them it goes from about 1 micro sievert which is a little above normal (in my humble abode its about .15) to just under 3000 sieverts and that is after 32 years....poor bastards never stood a chance..they knew it and still did their duty

Not much more to say really but if you ever go here....dont eat the jelly babies..........No, REALLY DONT EAT THE JELLY BABIES.

Enough waffle, I hear the masses shout.....Pictures, ok, ok

The Jelly babies are near here....be warned!!!!

You can practically touch the Jelly Babies in this shot

Thanks for looking and hoped you liked it as much as I did

    Score?????
    10/10

The light was fading quickly indeed Sir, you missed the best view! Love the colours on the first two shots!

The writing on the hospital building says "Health of the nation is wealth of the country". So much for that I guess..

I never realized this even existed, all the more to go here. Love that op room.
Don't worry about security until you've been caught.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
