After a frankly disappointing excursion into three emptied out buildings, I came across a very interesting discovery.

1. This is the entrance to a commercial building that seems to have mainly served as offices. Unfortunately most of the building was gutted.

2. The building next door had already gone down.

3. Then in the corner of the building, I found a bath tub just randomly sitting there.

4. Then out front I found this underground entrance beckoning me.

5. The unlocked door led to a staircase.

6. I took the stairs down into room salons, a unique Korean style of business. Basically, you pay way too much to have girls pour your drinks and keep the conversation going. Favoured customers will soon find themselves bartering with the girls to go to another location and perform a menu of sex acts.

7. Some art on the wall in one of the room salons, illuminated with light painting.

9. It looks like a foot-operated steampunk hole-puncher.

10. The way out.

13. After I left I found a sign for another underground bar called Porsche.

14. Out of energy, nearly out of batteries, and my card almost full, I decided to leave this for next time.

15. Time to head home.

Nice find racetraitor, I think this is the first derelict brothel i've seen :)

Not strictly a "brothel," but I would say it's the fourth or fifth abandoned sex-related establishment I've explored. It's sometimes hard to sort out which are the legitimate businesses and which offered happy endings/accompaniment to the nearest love motel.

wow..great pictures...i keep thinking of the shineing...kinda creepy..well done nice find

Nice find racetraitor, I think this is the first derelict brothel i've seen :)

I've seen one, though it wasn't (quite) derelict. When I was a feckless early '90s student in Hull some friends of mine lived in a former brothel on Beverley Road. The bathroom was quite simply unbelievable.

In a "Dear god, I could catch chlamydia just breathing the air" way or a "Wow, that would keep your nether regions clean" kind of way?

In a "The mind boggles" kind of way. :)

Circular bath big enough for three, mirrored ceiling, naked gold cherub pouring the water, flamboyant 1970s decor throughout the house. We never found a hidden camera but it wouldn't have surprised me that it had been there. All in a rather nondescript tumbledown house on a busy road in a rundown part of Hull. The story was it had been raided and shut down so letting it to students was all they could do with it.

whats with the sheets along the middle of the street in the last picture

Those are kind of like construction sheets. Korean workers throw them over everything for a number of reasons, such as:
-shield people from seeing abandonments
-temporary wall
-stop dust and debris from blowing away from abandonments and/or construction sites
-just get thrown on the ground for some reason, maybe to mark a boundary or a path

As well as seeing them on the ground there, they were also hanging around this Peter Pan place. You can see the same blankets used as a temporary wall behind the excavator in photo 2, and on the left frame of picture 4 you can see the edge of another temporary wall (which is where I gained entry).

I find them extremely useful for discovering abandoned buildings actually, such as in this picture below:

They might as well put up a sign saying "Abandoned building with no actual security measures, come right in."
