Last friday i took a look at the Forges de Clabecq iron foundry.
The factory is being demolished, but a huge part still is there.

The closing of this factory in 1997 was a real disaster for all the thousands of people which worked there.

Excellent stuff bartje. I'd love to know how you do it! I love old machinery and this fits the bill for me. :)
There is very little stuff like that left over here - close to me we had the steelworks at Consett. I never got to see the site before it was demolished (thank you Mrs Thatcher :mad:) and nowadays I pass through the place on a regular basis. I can only wonder at how it looked. I guess this set of pics shows just that. Thank you for sharing them with us.
 
Unreal site. I can't get over the machinery that is still there. Amazing pics, nice one :)
 
Great find, I love how all the machinery looks kind of giant! I love taking/looking at photo's of decaying stuff like this.
