Railway Institute Hall Merredin Western Australia

This old hall was owned by the Railway Institute & at one time was hired out to Rail workers & members of the public for functions.

Quite some years ago the institute vested the property in the care of the local shire on the grounds that it was looked after & still made available for use.

It has been poorly looked after & the shire was talking about knocking it down & using the land for a car park

Some locals complained & the shires plans were put on hold.

Cool, It looks like a lot of houses that's found in America. The construction is the same.

I love those old sheds and the exterior of the main hall. Was there a swimming pool there at all? I wondered if those sheds had been used as changing rooms at some time...don't know why but that's the impression I have for some reason. Nice find.

No pool I am not sure what they where used for.
