This is your classic pre war British built corporate estate bungalow, as can be found on rubber
estates throughout the country. This particular type of house would have been for one of the
lower ranking corporate types when in use.

The word bungalow of course should define a single storey house, but the word has since become
used to describe most detached houses out here.

This house and estate is set in a wonderful location near a large river. You can just picture
the old planters relaxing on the patio after a hard days work.

Because these larger estates are so far out of the way they have their own self contained
communities living and working on each estate. Schools, medical clinics provision shops, places of
worship etc are all provided.

Love the simplicity of this building, both inside and out. Fantastic staircase. Always interesting to see what's in Malaysia...superb pics as always. :)

Looks in better condition than the bloody council estate we live on. Jeez, that place is great!!

Now this looks familiar. The external shots (#2 + #9) look like the buildings that you would find (have found) on the old sugar estates. But then again, we were once a British colony as well so you'd expect to see some similarities.
