Hickhack (www.urbex-and-more.com) and myselve made a visit to Cokerie Anderlues.

Please Greenpeace, get away from the north- and southpoles and check out this place.
Man! What a poisoned place.
All kinds of liquids are going there into the ground for years and years and there isn't even a proper gate around it!
Nice playgarden for the kids in the neighborhood... )-:

Had a terrible headache the day after, maybe its from there?

Anyway: interesting place to walk around...

This place is seriously dirty!!! I went a few weeks ago and couldn't believe the state of the ground  Although the ducks living in the cooling pond were cool! :)

Very interesting. :) I love the turny handle thingy in pic one.

I'm quite shocked that this place is still standing. I am well aware of the various chemicals associated with coal. It reminds me of Washington near Newcastle upon Tyne. I have seen pics of an asbestos spoil heap which kids would make slides on and play on. It was massive, white and plonked right in the middle of housing. Industrial legacy at its worst.
