Was bored at work today so decided to take a look round the last few sheds that are on the former Great Western Railways site,it is next to a converted shed that English Heritage use and nearby is the Steam railway museum where i was working..ok it aint that interesting but i found it eeire looking into these shops imagining men toiling away in a sweatbox of conditions...anyway back to the job in hand......

Thanx for taking time to view these

I visited STEAM in 2001, some of the workshops have been converted to a small shopping centre.

Hi Chelle,

Lovely pictures -thanks for sharing! :)
Particularly like the second one, and the ones with all those trailers & Porter's barrows!! Very interesting history too.

great photos!
it's wierd to think that my grandad used to work there and now the buildings are either derelict,a museum or shopping mall!
