First explore, first pics, may not be every one's cup of tea and most may regard as rubbish, but i care not!

Woodlands Bolton was by all accounts a NHS centre which homed and provided care and support for the mentally ill and there families. Has stood derelict for a while and latest date found on a letter head was 2006.
Went in with Double-6, nice to meet you by the way! The Woodlands is in a very bad way, some parts of the roof have come through, and a fair few of the rooms are soaked and reeks of damp, although some nice features remain.

Any way, here goes:

Fancy A Brew Before You Go?

Kirkhams Bridge spans the A556 and the M60/62 and carried the local metro link services. found access to the depths after having a flash back to my youth. not really exciting, but interestingly pointless, 3 large chambers, a load of rubbish, but i guess lambrini girls want to have fun!

Nice first post, some quite erie photos!. Tea And all ""well theres lovley"" as we say in wales. Nice one!!

Oooh, and coffee too! Don't know if anyone has noticed, but they always seem to have exactly the same mugs in these kind of places. It's like charity shops...there's always a copy of 'The Moon's a Balloon' by David Niven. Weird that!

Anyway...enjoyed your report carlito (sorry, I digressed a bit! :D). It looked as if the fireplace and staircase were rather nice at one time and the stair carpet looks almost luxurious! Really like the pic you took of the top of the bridge. Nice one! :)

Thanks for your feedback, am going to go back to the woodlands to get some more snaps and pick up on some more details. Perhaps was a little to selective on my choices.

I started a thread a while back of things found while urbexing, & it looks like there are some things to add.

Nice to see the place again, it has been very much chaved since I was in there, I guess that they made entrance easy for you? where as for me it was pretty tricky. :icon_evil

Like your pics, they appear a lil dark, makes me wonder wot camera you used? as when I visted I was using a Fuji S304 (Point N' Shoot). :)

Liking the bridge pics, any chance you could send me a PM about it?
