I've wanted to visit this site for a while now and I finally got round to it. It really was a fun site to look around because of all the different silos and buildings you could climb. We got to the highest point of the site which was my favourite spot for photos. I must say tho I really loved the L3 lab. It was quite vandalised but it was nice to see preserved chemicals still on the shelves.

It took a while to get onsite as my crew were worrying about security cameras. I eventually forced them to come in as we had come so far and it wasn't a regret! Everyone enjoyed it. After all there fears drained. There were live security cameras on the control room. I was surprised that the control room still had a bit of power running. Anyway enjoy the pics!

The massive silos.

As I went upstairs I saw that you could get on the roof!

Then all that was left to do was to climb the silos!

Hope you liked the pictures. :)

Been here a few times now, it's a nice chilled place for a wander...those cameras are leftover from when it was in operation, nobody has ever bothered us there.

I had bad luck here and got caught! Everything turned out fine though, as it usually does :) it's a good place for a spot of climbing lol. Great pics ExplorerX!

How did you get caught? Theres no security.

As I said, bad luck! It was the Police and a guy from the security firm that turned up after receiving a phone call from a member of the public about people on the roof. There's no on-site security, no, but as far as I'm aware the same security firm secure this place, the mill, and the building across the river. I visited last year, and things do change (take Houghton Grange for example, which used to be really peaceful with no on-site security until kids go down there and smash the fuck out of the place, now there's 24 hour security). I always wear a GoPro on explores, but don't intend on uploading anything to YouTube.

Here's a few GoPro stills from my encounter at the water treatment plant:

Oh that must be a rotten member of the public! They allways have to ruin it. They just dont understand. We got spotted a lot. We walked strait up the main road and in. We also climed to the highest point of the site and nothing happened. Same with the mill. We walked in and a contractor working on the house next door saw us but didnt care. Alltho we wernt in for long as of the alarm.
