Visited this with HughieDW a few weeks back & it was the first of many explores that day.
And what a great start it was.
This is an old steel casting foundry from what I can gather mainly producing railings, bench ends & the like.
It was an excellent mooch & was right up my street. I was surprised at the amount of remaining stuff & lack of general vandalism.
Thanks to Mikeymutt for a bit of intel here too.
Its a bit pic heavy cos I liked it here ;-)

I can't help but think some of those patterns were for large machine parts - lathes, pedestal drills etc.
Are the shelves made from WW2 stretchers from during The Blitz?

Might be old and empty in there but it's a very interesting site. The patterns are especially good.

Agree on both counts. It is an interesting place. I manage a structural steel company so felf right at home in here ;-)
