Just something that may be usefull to some, for those open to it the Linux distro Ubuntu allows free downloading of a programme called Tango GPS. It is a simple mapping programme that downloads free open source maps and sattelite pictures - very handy as it means they are on your laptop and can be used without an internet connection. Then as the name implies, you can plug in a GPS dongle and turn your sattelite image/map into a type of satnav......well handy for thrashing through the undergrowth in search of or making lat and long note of 'derelict sites'.
