Hi all,

I thought that this might be of interest; It is a link to a local history website which documents the rise & fall of a church which us locals affectionately referred to as 'church on the hill' (proper name St. Michaels Church).

Pictures/text include the church in its original use, (as a church, obviously) then in its derelict state, and then finally its 'new use'.

Extra info that is not documented below is that when the church was (arguably) 'saved', it became the broadcast location of choice for a local pirate radio station for some time.

I have spent hours on this site myself! I appreciate the 'report' is not strictly my own so i hope that does not controvene a forum rule of some sort?

Enjoy.
