Here we go - my first post.

These were taken in 2004, but nothing much changes in 6 years with fine old places like this. North Berwick is in East Lothian, on the shore of the Firth of Forth. I was just driving around the area, looking for fine old churches and cemeteries, turned a corner while lost in North Berwick, and whoa, there it was, right in front of me.

Thanks sal.

Look out for Ancrum when I get a chance to create the post. It's in the same rough area as N Berwick. Delicious!

Ooh, this is lovely! The tower is really unusual. I just had a quick research in my books and on-line, but couldn't find anything else to compare it with. Do you know the name of the church itself? There might be some info about it somewhere.
Fabulous first report. :)

Thanks all for the comments!

The bell tower was securely bricked up when I went, so no more chavs I hope.

I have no idea what the church is or was called, and actually there seems to be very little about it online. I found an old pic somewhere, black and white, showing the church quite clearly already derelict, but with scaffolding around the tower, so it seems it's being cared for. The grounds were well mowed, and apart from some overgrown graves at the back, it's all in great order.

Great pictures, what a lovely church, I'll be heading that way soon and will be stopping by to have a look.
