These photos were taken a while back but I was unable to post them earlier as I was using them for a college project and had to prove they were my own, not from the internet! Anyway, there's been a lot of interest in Mosbrough Chapel lately since a series of fires finally destroyed it shortly after these photos were taken. Recently, it has been completely demolished, so these are some of the last photos taken of the site!
The site started off as a Chapel in 1793, built by the Walker family whose foundry was key to transforming the area's industry. It's one of only three independent chapels with burial grounds in the country. In later years, the Grade 2 listed site housed various factories and warehouses - most recently, a carpet shop, before it was first ravaged by fire several years ago.
