When the small Norfolk parishes of Fulmodeston and Croxton were merged during the 1880s, a new church was built to serve the wider congregation. St Mary’s church in Fulmodeston was therefore abandoned and left to rot.
But oh how lovely it has become. It's down a track off a small country road and looks like a small nondescript wood. Unless you actually know it's there, it's virtually invisible in the summer. This is one of the best ruins I have been in and judging from all the detritus on the stairs, it has not been visited for a long time............

Entrance - I didn't do externals 'cause all you would see would be vegetation.

Having been to many churches across Norfolk infrared, I've never been to this! Loving it!, great pics, great write up. Keep 'em coming!!!

Very nice work - a lot of the early shots work will in B&W, but towards the end of the report I was kinda hanging out for a few colour ones too, just for variety - just my personal preference though, well done!
