My first church, and well worth a visit if your in the area.

As can be seen St Mary's church, actually situated in Croxton, is now a complete ruin having been abandoned in 1889. The current parish church, Christ Church, is situated at the crossroads in Fulmodeston. St Mary's was apparently a fairly typical example of 14th century Norfolk Perpendicular architecture. Now an ivy-clad ruin it is the haunt of Tawny Owls and foxes. Such is its decay that were it not for the symbol marking its presence on the maps you could walk past without noticing unless your eye catches one of the remaining gravestones alongside the path.

Enjoy the pics!
