Out photographing concrete yesterday and on the way back decided to stop and have a quick gander at this Georgian church. Not really my kind of a thing. Mainly neo-classical in design but the pulpit appears to be medieval in design. The height of the pulpit makes it very uncomfortable to look at from the closest box pews. The plain windows provide plenty of light giving the place an open feel despite it's diminutive size. Each box pew has a switch for it's reading lights. The church is built from the rubble of a much older church but that isn't immediately obvious. Very peaceful inside with the clock movement providing a steady beat in the background. Though there are three bells in the tower only one is used by the clock. The fixture and fittings are remarkable complete.
Just snapshots with the compact as I was short on time - it deserves better.
