Another abandoned church, called as it is partly because I don't know it's actual name but mostly because to get into the place you have to step around a completely stripped out (and presumably stolen) new-ish Dodge Charger sat in a dodgy alleyway on one side of the building. Accessing it was fairly sketchy involving walking down long planks laid over a totally collapsed staircase but once inside it was pretty solid.
This is kind of the opposite of the first one I posted and shows just how far a building can deteriorate if left to the elements and vandals. It last showed evidence of active use in 2008, it's large size and it's prominent location on one of the main thoroughfares through part of Detroit means it kind of stands out and has been a magnet to all the less savoury members of the area.
That being said, it's currently sat in a level of decay I love to photograph as it's incredibly photogenic, even more so on a sunny early evening as the sun was just beginning to set.
