Whilst up the coast with the family for Mother's Day I was just around the corner from this ruined church.not a load of history on the place.built in the fifteenth century it was used for what was then a local parish then later used as a chapel for the Manor House of the grounds it sits within.abandoment was about the seventeenth century.its a well known local landmark and stands tall in the trees.the tree in the middle is infamous.and rumours of a witch with a wooden leg was buried here and the leg grew into a tree which destroyed the church, and that tree is the one that remains.load of rubbish I know.but that's local folklore.
