This was heartbreaking.

I had been tipped off about this place the morning we explored it by a friend who said that workers had begun dismantling the pews a month or so back. So we turn up outside a stunning building and immediately see a viable way in so I head inside to report back to Landie Man whether or not it's worth doing.

I found the stairs leading up to the chapel floor and my heart sank as I entered the room. The place had been entirely stripped of pews, and the balcony level was in the middle of being completely removed. I then looked up and immediately was taken aback by the absolutely stunning ceiling. So it wasn't all bad news, I texted Landie to say it's a mess but the ceiling is incredible so he joined me soon after.

Oh how I wish I'd seen the place a couple of months back when it was truly stunning - it probably won't be long until conversion or whatever is in store for the building really starts at full steam.
