Done a revisit to this old chapel with janovitch.i only took four pics on my first visit.built in the early nineteenth century for the workers of the local estate.the place is in a bit of a state now with the floors slowly collapsing in and the whole thing seems to moving sideways.but the colours and light in here.i love these old tabernacle to give them there proper name.cheap to build chapels often built for farms and estates sadly there ain't too many now in a derelict state.thanks to jsp for the heads up on this one.

Someone has removed a lot of the floorboards and left a lot of nails sticking up. Ouch! If it had floorboards it would be a nice cosy church.

There's not many folks that can make an empty shack (no disrespect) look that appealing:friendly_wink:

You've certainly pulled it off Mikey:applause:

"A bit of a state" Id say! you are brave just going in there, looks like a complete collapse is inevitable.
Great set of pics as always.

I have nosed around a few Tin Tabernacles, two in mint condition and in use up to the mid nineteen nineties, one was part of a convent that I thought was empty, it wasn't and a little grey nun frightened the crap outta me when she tapped me on the shoulder and asked if she could help. Even the beat up one's are photogenic and fair play Mikey you take a decent snap, Thanks

You will be delighted to hear me knees bin fixed, can't wait to nose around the forge
