Visited this with the girlfriend after a tip off from mookster.when we got there the door was locked but we saw a guy in the garden behind it and got talking to him and next thing he was opening the door for us and letting us take photos whilst he returned to his gardening.he came back later to see how we were doing and told us quite a lot about the history of it.how they had the lead stolen and replaced after fund raising then it was stolen again.the builders who had replaced the roof had managed to put holes in the ceiling to.the roof is now covered in tarpaulin and he seems to think that it wont be saved.as it is for sale but cannot be turned into a residential property as ordered by the church.its a very sad situation as it is a beautiful church with lovely colours.the church dates back to the thirteenth century and had a Victorian extension.the church is made of green limestone and is grade two listed.i have sent him a copy of my pics and he was pleased with them.

One of my absolute favourite churches I've explored anywhere, I'm glad you got to see it. I'm also glad to hear that someone at least is watching over the building and locking it up.

That's a nice church. Just needs major work on the roof. I like the detail on the pews and the wooden frame area near the altar. Nice pictures as per your usual, Mikey.

I agree with Mockingbird on this bud. Great decay and a lovely looking place :)
