Wink The Dead Sheep Chapel - August 2018

    The Dead Sheep Chapel

Another from the backlog from a hot day in wales almost two years ago! time does move fast right?

As many know these old chapels are everywhere in Wales, they pop up randomly and sometimes even middle of nowhere and despite all I have stumbled on, this ones my favourite, it must of been the bones and skulls of the sheep, also the decay cannot forget the decay.

This chapel I drove past one night, peeked inside and thought yeah add it to my list on my return home, so thats exactly what I did went here after a wet and windy few days in wales, an strangely enough all I explored on the whole trip was chapels and churches... So it fits, but as I said this one was my favourite and I think still is despite all the odd ones I have photographed since, this one just has more character about it, its odd the organ moves so much though... Never understood why many moved the organ, then again maybe light flare an all that.

Not much history on this one, its rather scarce so take with it what you will

    On with the shots!

Thats your lot, not many but enough to get the idea! Think all the bones ect got moved months ago too... sad day...

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
