As I was passing the area thought I'd take a quick look over a local property that some of you may have read about in the regional press earlier in the year. When Jimmy Blanche a local eccentric classic car enthusiast and recluse died a number of classic cars where found on his ramshackle home in south Norfolk, many had not been driven since the 50's and seemingly parked up on his land and simply left to be taken over by the overgrowth. Others were found stashed in outhouses and chicken sheds along with numerous odds and ends Jimmy had collected over the years.

According to locals, Mr Blanche moved to the village 40 years ago with his elderly parents to open the business in the local forge. But after his parents died 25 years ago he is said to have become a recluse, venturing out only to shop and go to church every Sunday. He died at home aged 80.

As someone who lives in the village, my family and I often used to see him cycling about the village on his 1950's bicycle on shopping trips and to collect his classic car magazines which he had ordered from the local news agents...always wearing the same old trenchcoat held together with bindertwine and wellington boots wether it be winter or summer!!!

I chose not to enter the property as it's far too dangerous and to be honest has limited possibilities as regards to photography, the front of the property has now been bordered with a fence to keep out unwanted attention however I saw no keep out signs and access can be gain via the rear heavily overgrown garden from the public footpath.

Nice one N.b. I remember seeing this in th E.D.P and some of the Motors were worth up to 12,ooo Pounds. I would love to have a look at that.

Thanks for the replies folks, seems a shame to have not included some interior shots bit they really wouldn't have been worth it...the building being too small and dark for anything other than blurred wasters!!

Also didn't fancy hanging about for more pics as the neighbours dogs had sussed me out!!!
