Second site of the weekend with msaunders1972, a backup after an early fail at Severalls. If you want to see it go quick, as it looks in imminent danger of serious internal collapse, some of the floors upstairs are among the dodgiest I've ever seen.

Won't bother with the history as it's been done a lot. It's a fantastic building though, and I can see now why it's called the house of mirrors. On the way back me and my coexplorer were discussing what we'd do to the place if we won the lottery, it's got to the stage now where someone needs to intervene and get a compulsory purchase order on it and save it.

This was the second outing for my new camera so am still getting used to all the new settings. Plus my tripod needs replacing as it's on a slight wonk. Couple of externals - these were taken on my phone after leaving as the weather took a turn for the worse and decided to chuck it down.

Mookster any chance you can send me a full size copy of pic in the greenhouse area that you took please? If you want a good quality tripod Manfrotto are the make (They aren't cheap but there is a reason, they are bloody good)

It's an epic piece of furnishing thats for sure, unfortunately getting any closer was a no-no as the floor on that landing is seriously ropey, with a sheer drop to the concrete below!

Mookster treadstone was looking to go here do you fancy an early one soonish we could take in Potters, here and possibly the baby castle??

Lets get it sorted then, I reckon Baby Castle would need to be first as it looks like an early doors job, lillesden school is next easy in and potter manor they may as well build a carpark for the visitors :) . I want to try and contact the owners of Lillesden first though to see if I can liberate that lovely pillar while at site. Give you a reason to be there too

I love love love your pics. The one with the net curtains on the windows sent a shiver up my spine. Wish I could capture like you have, beautiful building, I have no doubt you could find something wonderful to do with it with a lottery win...
