    Default Haddo

Almost ruinous but fascinating mansion - despite being abandoned, neglected and vandalised for up to 70 years the upstairs is still accessible and some of its decadent interior is still evident in the cornices, ceiling medallions and murals on the walls.

Not the best pictures in the world, as they come from the "stick it on auto and hope for the best" school of photography and on a cruddy Kodak compact camera but should give an idea of the place.

Thankyou very much for that, Lost.
I've been wanting to see more of this building since I saw your first report and really enjoyed viewing the pics. Love that wallpaper with the Harpies on...bet that would cost a bomb to buy these days!

    Cheers

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
